1. Who we are
In these terms, "we", "us", "Cape Uncovered with Natalie Bossi Tours" or "the guide" refers to Natalie Bossi, trading as Cape Uncovered with Natalie Bossi Tours, a private tourist-guiding service based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. "You", "the client" or "guest" means the person making the booking and everyone in their party. Contact: info@capeuncovered.co.za · WhatsApp 084 547 2804.
2. Bookings & quotations
- Enquiries can be made by email, WhatsApp or the website form. A booking is only confirmed once we have agreed the date, itinerary and price in writing and the required deposit (see below) has been received.
- Quotations are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise and may change if your requirements, group size or dates change.
- Please make sure all details you give us (names, dates, pick-up address, special needs) are correct — we are not liable for problems caused by incorrect information.
3. Prices, deposits & payment
- Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are per tour or per person as specified.
- A deposit of 50% is required to secure the date; the balance is due by the day of the tour / 48 hours before.
- Accepted payment methods: EFT / bank transfer, cash. Banking details are provided on the invoice.
- Unless clearly stated, quoted prices exclude third-party entrance fees (e.g. Table Mountain Cableway, Cape Point, Robben Island ferry, Boulders Beach, wine-tasting fees, boat trips), meals, drinks and gratuities.
4. Cancellations & refunds
If you cancel
- More than 14 days before the tour: full refund less any non-recoverable third-party costs already paid on your behalf.
- 7–14 days before: deposit forfeited.
- Less than 7 days before, or no-show: 100% of the tour price is payable.
If we cancel
If we have to cancel for reasons within our control, you may choose a full refund or an alternative date. We are not liable for your other travel costs (flights, accommodation, etc.).
5. Changes, weather & safety
- Cape Town weather changes fast. For safety we may adjust or reschedule an itinerary — especially hikes (Blouberg, Lion's Head), the Cableway (which closes in high wind) and boat trips. Sensible alternatives will be offered where possible.
- We reserve the right to alter routes or timings due to traffic, road closures, load-shedding or events beyond our control.
6. Health, fitness & hiking
- Some experiences (hikes, nature walks) require a reasonable level of fitness. You must tell us in advance of any medical condition, mobility limitation, allergy or dietary need.
- You take part in physical activities at your own risk and must follow the guide's safety instructions at all times. The guide may stop any activity considered unsafe.
7. Children & conduct
- Children are welcome but remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian throughout.
- We want everyone to have a great day. We may end a tour without refund if a guest behaves in a way that is unsafe, unlawful, or abusive to the guide or others.
8. Transport
Where transport is included, guests must wear seatbelts and follow reasonable instructions. Confirm whether transport is provided in your own vehicle (PrDP required) or via a licensed transfer partner.
9. Third-party services
Tours may include services run by third parties (wine estates, the Cableway, ferries, boat and safari operators, restaurants). We select reputable providers but are not responsible for their acts, omissions or their own terms and conditions, which may apply to you separately.
10. Liability & indemnity
- To the fullest extent allowed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other South African law, our liability is limited to the value of the tour, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
- You are responsible for your own personal belongings at all times.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Photography & media
We may take photos during the tour and, with your permission, use them for marketing. Tell the guide on the day if you would prefer not to appear in any photos.
12. Privacy (POPIA)
We process your personal information (name, contact details, booking info) only to arrange and deliver your tour, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We do not sell your information. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your details at info@capeuncovered.co.za.
